. . . there is a crisis in our country with the fitness and physical
activity levels of our youth. It will have a lasting effect on
these young people throughout their lives if not corrected now.
Force Youth Fitness is
founded on the goal of offering parents a concrete tool in giving their
children healthy, productive futures through a foundation of lifetime
fitness habits. It is a unique Fitness Program in that we only
work with young people. Our programs, equipment and staff are all
selected on their ability to be effective in the unique challenges of
training children. This includes selections based on the
understanding that kids are different, physically, psychologically and
emotionally, from adults.
Kids want to play ! It is a natural
need in young people that serves an important purpose, it prepares their
bodies, minds and hearts for life. However, due to the new dangers
in the world we live, many of their play opportunities are limited.
Video games, TV, and other sedentary activities have now become a more
convenient activity for our youth. With the nature of these
activities has come an alarming decline in the fitness levels of our
youth. Our goal is to offer parents a managed plan to reverse
these trends.
Nutrition has become another victim of our
convenient society. Our lives have become so full that physical
activity and correct nutrition have been sacrificed. This is one
of the most difficult areas to address in children because they
typically have very little input into their meal choices. We offer
multiple resources to our student's parents to help them make good meal
and snack choices for their kids. We encourage parents to make the
changes that will aid their children's future in terms of not only
fitness but eating habits also.
Young Athletes need to train with the
unique differences they have due to their physical, psychological and
emotional states. For those young people that are showing a strong
commitment to individual sports we offer individualized programs to
accelerate that development toward their potential. This is a
global approach to their training including sport specific strength and
flexibility development, sport psychology strategies, nutrition and
periodization principles for success. Special attention is devoted
to injury prevention, especially in areas of overuse and
growth/developmental effects of intense sport participation. We
additionally seek to work and coordinate with each athlete's coaches to
assist in attaining the individual potential of each athlete.
